College Level Opportunities

We’re ready for your best work. Pass it along via our online submission manager. Prose – up to 3 pieces at a time, 9,000 words maximum (across pieces). Poetry – up to 6 poems at a time, no length limits. Art – up to 6 pieces at a time, both black/white & color accepted. Since inception, the journal has been listed for extended periods among Duotrope.com’s 25 Fastest & Most Challenging Poetry and Fiction Markets, and has been the #1 Poetry Market with the Most Submission Responses Reported for the past two years.

This is an open space to express yourself, be creative, deal with emotion, and be read! We are looking for unique works for a young adult audience, with an emphasis on mental health - any writing used as catharsis or reflection, or used to draw attention to societal issues, is particularly welcomed. We are also open to stories about the teenage experience, nonfiction articles, and more. If in doubt, send it in; we are very open and accepting to any types of writing.

ASHAMED is a volunteer-based digital + print magazine for and by women and non binary BIPoC (Black, Indigenous and people of colour). This publication puts their stories at the forefront. We only accept work from woman and non-binary BIPoC. If you have something to say about fashion, TV, films, music, politics, love, sex, wellness or anything at all (this includes op-eds about anything and everything!) submit to ASHAMED! Please pitch before you submit fully written pieces.

ARMONíA Magazine is a youth-driven publication for young, diverse creatives — for painters and photographers, for creative writers and poets, for journalists and musicians, for filmmakers and doodlers. Submit to their online archive, and look out for announcements regarding their print issues!

We encourage all IYNA members who have NOT graduated from a college, undergraduate institution, or an equivalent institution of higher education to write for the IYNA Journal! Not only does the IYNA provide free editing and web publication services, but you also have a chance to influence others, providing resources to help our readers learn more about neuroscience.
