Theatrefolk Inc. is seeking one-act Middle School & High School play submissions by BIPOC playwrights for immediate publication. Our mission is to represent student voices and to let students know they are not alone. It has been made clear where we have succeeded and where we have failed in this pursuit. We want to do better. Skipping Stones Magazine

Writings (essays, stories, letters to the editor, riddles and proverbs, etc.) should be typed or neatly handwritten and limited to 1,000 words and poems up to 30 lines. We encourage writings in all languages with an English translation, if possible. And, we love illustrations! Please send originals of your drawings, paintings, or photos to our post office box address below. Include your name, age, and address along with your submission. We welcome electronic submissions as well. We prefer Word.doc. or .docx.files or text.edit files. Art and photos can be sent as .jpeg or .tiff files. Please DO NOT send us zip.files.

One Story

One Story is seeking literary fiction. Because of our format, we can only accept stories between 3,000 and 8,000 words. They can be any style and on any subject as long as they are good. We are looking for stories that leave readers feeling satisfied and are strong enough to stand alone.

Binsey Poplar Press

Binsey Poplar Press is a non-profit organization incorporated in the state of California. Started by a team of 8 students in the Silicon Valley area, we invite students ages 13-26 across the nation and beyond to share their work with us. Every two months we publish a new volume of student works on our website in the form of a magazine. Each issue has one featured artist, whose art will appear on the cover of the magazine, and one featured writer, who has a line from their work selected as the title of the issue.

The Caterpillar Magazine

We are delighted to receive submissions from writers and artists (over 16) anywhere in the world. It can take up to four months to respond, so please do bear with us. Unfortunately, we cannot accept submissions from children, but only from adults writing for children. If you are submitting poetry, then please send no more than six poems. Short stories should preferably be no longer than 1,000 words.
